Peace drums opinions

Not too sure if you people are familiar with peace drums but i just want some opinions on them. Im not too sure what level they're at and what they're comparable to. I've heard some good things in the past but are they quality drum sets? Could you compare them to say... a pearl export? thanks.

well it depends on what model you're thinking of getting but Peace drums is a solid company and I heard that they are improving a lot. I haven't actually played one so I can't help you there tho.

peace drums have a very deep low mellow tone, great for punk playing.
Alex Rodriguez of Saosin uses Peace drums.

Peace drums are good. The downfall to them is the hardware. It tends to fall apart in a short period of time. That's not enough to keep me from purchasing a set I like though. It's easy enough to strike a deal with a local shop and opt to not take the peace hardware and go with a hardware package from another company like Mapex or Tama or Pearl. It might bump up the price alittle bit but not by much. All in all I really think that there are no "Bad" drums out there. Some are abit better in quality than others, but in any given price range, they are all fairly close to each other. Good Luck.

From forum to forum I'm member, I had the opportunity to chat with some peace drum owner even a Peace endorser. To my knowledge the series above the demolition (aka DNA and Paragon) are very well build with good bearing edge and nice finish. They have good stock availability and efficient customer service.

Re: Peace drums opinions

I've had my peace set of a number of years and I enjoy it. I bought it mostly for the fact that it was the cheapest set they carried and I'm poor. But I havn't had a bad time with hardware falling apart, The cymbals it came with sounded bad but I like my set. Though I'm proly going to buy a sonor set soon. I liked my peace set for the time I've had with it.
