refinishing drums

Is it possible to take off the wrap that I have now and refinish my drums? What do I need to do to do this? Is it something i could do on my own?

it's definitely possible. i've heard stories of people using hairdryers to melt the glue and stuff. it's not something i would take on personally though

I would equate it to painting a car. It's a very similiar process, just on a smaller scale. Unless you really know what you're doing, you'll probally be better off paying someone else to do it for you. Have you looked into having them re-wrapped instead? Doesn't look quite as good, but you can do it yourself and save a little cash. JMO

Watch this video. I've refinished 2 drums and am on to a third. Very easy.

Remember to wear saftey glasses when removing the wrap.
