I've always been curious how some of the metal/hardcore drummers get that distinct clicking noise every time they hit the pedal. I almost wanna say it's called a kick plate but couldn't find information on it. Any ideas?

it could be a trigger in not danmar makes a metal plate that stick to the bass drum and then you jist use rubber beaters.

I wood suggest either wood or plastic beaters and a falam pad. I've used the Danmar one before it's basically a plastic pad that sticks to the skin. There are a lot of others out there too. Good luck.
