Gibraltar direct-drive double kick pedal! Holy crap!!

I am absoutly, as the brits say gobsmacked after using this pedal today. I never thought I would care for a direct drive pedal, but I MUST have this. I have never played so fast. I've used the flying dragon before, but this one just owns! I just can't say enough good things about it.

It's the Gibraltar Intruder Direct drive. It's on their website. www.gibraltarhardware.com I'm selling my Iron cobra to get it. I got a chance to play it for quite a while, and there is one issue: When you lower the beater enough so that it is hitting the middle of the head, the bottom part of the beater shaft sticks out so much that it can easly scrape the head. You have to move it back pretty far for it not to. My plan is to just saw the last inch and a half of the end of the beater. The beaters are nice and lightweight and are shaped like the DW beaters.
