Check this out:

I saw this and thought it was a really good idea. I could only imagine what the slave pedal feels like though.

Yeah, Mapex was doing one of those a while back. It would be cool for uncomplicated stuff, but can you imagine if you didn't make the swap over while on stage?

I can only imagine. I have a droplock clutch on my hi hat, and I have a tough time using that while I'm in the middle of something.

Those pedals are actually pretty easy to switch over from bass to hi-hat, but they are very very touch. So if you move your foot to the left at all you might get stuck in the hi-hat when you want to be on the bass. It also seemed to get caught in the middle sometimes. I don't remember which brand I tried but I'm almost positive it was the Janus pedal.

If you check out my gallery photos, you can see I taped half a stick to the lever of mine. This alows me to hit it with the stick to release the top hat. This has been invaluable to me.

Thats a good idea, I was thinking of fitting a small length of PVC piping over the lever arm.

Yeah seen a lot of those around. The dualist is one that springs to mind.

I say, all's fair in love and drumming. Everyone said Ray Herera was cheating with his bass triggers, but that's a crock.
