Vintage Rogers!!

Just put down a deposit, and a week from Sat. will pick up a 25-30 yr old Rogers XP-8 maple kit in lucious Mist Blue!! Ooooh so pretty! Ooooooh sound so nice!!
(The guy, obviously distressed that his wife's knick-knacks were rattling on the shelf in the next room, said he thought the bass needed muffling ... oh, I don't think so! Sounded thunderously fantastic to me!)

This is from a local drummer pal of mine, who restored them from the shells, and offered me a killer deal that I couldn't pass up. Comes with a 22" bass, 12-13 mounted and 16 floor tom. Of course, I've already got my eye on a matching 10x14 tom, and a 'historically appropriate' snare (I mean, the red Pacific snare I've got would just clash too horribly!!) ... good deal or no, the accessories to go with it will probably kill me!

I consider this my 'good mojo' kit ... I'm getting in contact with serious musicians who are looking for a drummer, and this is a kit that I'll be happy to tell them about and show up with! I expect it to get me into a dynamite band!

Nice one Glynny, sounds like you're on to a real winner.

I've noticed a lot of harware companies are offering the old style cymbal stands. Straight ones with the feet coming directly out from the bottom.

Might help to keep some of the authenticity.

Any way, hope you can post us some photos or sounds soon. Cheers.
