Looking for a new drumset

I'm looking for a 7 or 8 peice drumset around the 1500$ price range that would be good for playing metal.

The pearl double bass sets are nice. The export whether you get the joey jordison one or regular have some pretty nice set ups. I'm pretty sure the poplar on them gives them a good sound. Skinslapper has a lot of experience on them so he'll probably help you a lot more than I can. Also, the EXR when I played one sounded pretty good.

I agree the exports can be handy for your purposes, but bare in mind, the forum is the same shells as the exports.

With exception to the all new Maple exports. I believe they do a double bass set up for $1700US approx.

Look it up and deffinately try out some different wood type kits before you commit to anything.
