Hi, can you give me a link for the pulse double pedal? i can't seem to find it, thanks.

Hi again Crotia; The web site you are looking for is musicians friend.com-click on drums & percussion- on the far right side of the page you will see some logos for zildjian, pulse. & others. Just click on the pulse logo & it will take you to about 5 pages of pulse products. Look only at the PRO-LINE hardware & pedals.
The PRO-LINE pedal will have a plate on the bottom. The cheap one will not.
They are all ball bearing & have every possible kind of adjustment. In my opinion, it would take a pretty darn good pedal to beat it. Maybe AXIS long boards. If you're just starting out on double bass or are replacing some old pedal, I think these are ideal. I've been playing 60 years & I've tried about everything. I use PULSE double pedals. NOT because of the price.
Hope this info will help.

Hmm, I think I'm losing it. All I see is one pulse pedal, and its single kick :S

I looked through the hardware >> pedals...and through all pulse products

Crotia, Bummer!! I lied to you. I didn't know it but Musicians Friend is out of stock on that item. I just called after checking myself. GOOD NEWS: They will have the new double pedals in stock in about 2 -3 weeks. BAD NEWS: The sales rep said the price will be up to $149 bucks. I told you these were some fine pedals but dang I hate to see them go up that much. They were selling them for $59 bucks for a while. If you are not in a hurry, just watch their website daily & they will drop the price down for some kind of sale. As long as your checking--be sure to always click on their "stupid deal of the day". Every once in a while they do a drum item at a bizarre price. I'll keep an eye on the site for you too. I'm very sorry to give you a bum lead.

Haha, no worries, it happens :P

How about those 100 dollar PDP pedals, are they any good?

I think i've given up on the 500 dollar pedal idea, i'll probably upgrade my cymbals (any opinions on the Sabian AA Rock Performance set).

Regarding PDP pedals. This is from what I 've read about them, and the pictures on dealer websites etc. In my opinion the're not as good as the Pulse
Pro Line. Go back to the Musician Friend website. In the search bar in the upper left hand corner, type pdp bass drum pedal. When the picture of the single pdp pedal comes up, click on "view larger photo". Take a very close look at the pedal. Now do the same thing with the Pulse Pro pedal. You will see a ton of adjustments on the Pulse pedal that just aren't there on the PDP. When you get one of the Pulse pedals in your hand you will see even more adjustments and goodies.
Sabien Cymbals: I think the best way to pick a cymbal is to take one of your own cymbals & two stands with you to the music store. set up your cymbal.
Hit it a few times. Then put on a blindfold & hit all the other cymbals in the store. Any of them that sound good to you are set aside near your own cymbal.
Next, see how the new ones you've picked out sound with your old one. You will either find the ONE you really like OR you will not like any of them. The most important thing---NEVER look at whose name is on the cymbal. Who cares. Just pick the one that sounds right to YOUR ear. PS: Don't be afraid to leave the store without buying any. Find the one you really like. Good luck.

Okay, thanks. I'll take a look at my music store today, maybe i'll spend a bit more and get a DW pedal, I don't really want to wait for the pulse one too bad they don't have any right now.

Regarding cymbals, thats exactly what I did last time for my splash, and of course, I ended up picking the most expensive one :S or atleast one of the most expensive ones. HHX Legacy 12" Splash :P

Thanks for all your help

Hmm, after going to the music store, I liked the feel of the pearl pedals. Any opinions on that pedal? P-2002B
