Yeah, the iron cobra still feels like the old version. A little more stiff by todays standards. But I also agree about the pearl. It's a very small foot plate and it can be difficult to get the sort of resistance you need. It's all personal.

Hey, check out how many posts I've made. I am the beast!!

Well...iono stuff should be here tomorrow or monday. In nebraska right now so yea lol. And you coulda said it's a stiff peddle :P But I think I'll like teh powershifter/being able to slide the peddle. Iono, every peddle I've played on except my first peddle(an older Pearl) has been to small of a footboard for my foot so yea. I really can't wait to hear the cymbal though. Guess that's one good thing about ordering...don't know what the outcome'll be, but I know I'll like it lol.

PdP 800 Boomstand I have two of them and they are the cost of Dixon Booms and they are a step up from Dixon, or two, same price too.I know someone with those pedals(dw) He just went on accross the contry with his band for 3 weeks(he might have taken 5000 though, if hes selling his old ones...I might chip in a buck).

Well, I got everything yesterday and playedit for a while, gonna do moe though today as in setting the peddle hwo I like it and such but WOW, I love double bass lol. Knew I would but didn't think I'd love it this much. Basically I gotta work on, keeping stuff together/in time when I'm doing like straight triplets, 16ths, 8ths and rolls. Bout it I guess. And teh trashformer =O I love it, it's realy thin though so I'm scared about that but it should be fine I think. I thought it was like, actually a cymbal that bent and stuff into a different shape or somethinwhen you hit it, but it doesn't...still a cool cymbal though. And iono, I'm thinkin I may order another oen down the road being afaik they're all different shapes and stuff so a different sound, roughly teh same but still diferent whi'd be really cool. And to me, it's liek a small crash/china I guess, has teh china sound but decays slower...really love the sound.

Got the pearl p122t..(w?) peddle...love it. Fairly stiff actually, but I'm liking it a lot. The trashformer is an amazing cymbal and I plan on getting another. The Pulse stand is really..really nice too. Iono how much it can hold, if it's able to hold my low tom and ride like teh sonor stand is(400series I beleive) and I probably won't try it out cause I don't feel liek moving all teh hardware off the sonor :P But when I get a coupel mroe cymbals I'll be getting another Pulse boom
Thne I learned that the certificate will be issued on jul 17 lol, so I guess I got a lil' while till I can get sticks..hope teh pro-marks I'm using right now will last They've gotten a bit shredded so I'm hopin'.
Last thing, question for teh double bass guys. Rolls...straight 16th's/triplets/8ths..ummm yea lol. I can do about everything else when I throw dbass stuff in, but I can't keep those notes goin steady Crappy question cause I know teh answer will probably be practice..practice practice, but how'd you guys get these down if you have?

No one needs to do steady 16ths on their double basses, it can be fun and all but music u more then the amount of fast bass roles

It sounds so much tighter if you do actual counts and not just a roll..IMO. I liek both, but I wanna get triplets down/sixlets and 8ths and 16ths down steady as anything. Been workin on em' and I can do em' steadier for a lil' bit longer so hopefully it'l come to me and I can get used to my peddles bounce and such.
