OMG I'm getting new stuff :D check what I'm gettin please

So yea, I have some $$$ to spend...about $300-350 is all I want to spend, so yea. It was either gonna be some new computer parts cause I've really been into computers lately, and I would really liek an upgrade but think I may when AMD drops its AM2+ and/or AM3 chips late this year...hopefully. But yea, went to a concert today(with some local bands) and I was reconvinced to get some new stuff for my drumset just cause yea, I've wanted a double bass peddle for quite sometime and some new stuff would be nice. So, here's what I'm thinkin' about getting...
DW 7002PT or the Pearl P122TW. Now, I liek pearl, but the DW looks to have some stronger hardware...but at a price of $50 more Doesn't really mater which I get cause I know I'll liek both but yea. Which do you guys think I should possibly choose?
Pulse boom stand by reviews seems to be a perty good stand and I know it's better than what my china is on right now lol.
ZXT trashformer been wanting to get the cymbal for a while now, can't wait to start makin some cool effects with it. And hey, just looks cool too.
Gonna get a double bass patch too, then some more pro-marks So yea, what you guys think lol, mostly it's about the double bass peddle and teh pulse stand, but I think teh pulse'll do me more than good.
lol, so much different than a computer forum where there's actual set benchmarks on how stuff performs and deciding if it's worth the $$ and what not. Here, it's basically what you like lol. And no, I haven't tried any of this stuff out yet because here, there basically 2 mucis shops and neither have much of anything to choose from really.

A double kick is going to heaps more productive than any p.c gear. Get one and get into learning it. A good book is Tiger Bills "Double Drumming" available on his site.Even if you don't use twin kick in your playing, learning it will help your playing immensely. Better balance, independance, co ordination, easier left foot control with hi hat, mind agility are some of the pluses. The other is double kick played tastefully is cool in the right song.

If you don't need anything immediately to assist your gigging that would be my choice, or before a large hole burns in your pocket, stash the $$$ away for something major later on. Good cymbals are expensive and it's handy to have spare cash to get the one yer after when it crops up.

Yea, this is basically well A- I've wanted double bass for quite a while, never had teh money to do it. B- getting so I can get some group together for a metalesque type band. And yea, that's about it, I'm gonna be so happy though to see that box of goodies.
Are you sayin I shouldn't get the trashformer? Cause I think I should, then later on I seen a meinl cymbal pack for just under $200 with a 12 and 18in. china and 10in splash...it's their classics series so it's not "higher end" by any stretch but I like the sound of em' so I'll probably get that when I have teh money for teh new cymbals and stands. Later down the road I'll probably get another crash then maybe another set of hats for the right side.

Dude, first thing I think you should do is lay off the coffee. Don't worry about the sturdiness of the pearl pedal. Remember, they've been making this stuff long before DW came along. If that's the one you prefer, go for it.

Well, Pearlk it is, I was talking with a friend of mine and he says pearl too, plus the price dropped too :P Along with getting the pearl I can get some compy stuff also lol.
So teh pearl peddle - pulse boom - d-bass patch - trashformer zxt - think that was it besides sticks. But now I may order locally from one of the shops (kenny's) so yea. Hopefully get the stuff cheaper yet :P

Well, ordered it all today through musiciansfriend. Then, when it comes I'llbe getting a $25 gift card which means new/more sticks :P Possibly some new batter heads for my toms too...possibly.

Trouble with being a drummer is you tend to become a gear head. Drums are so interesting with all their bits and pieces, fun fun fun.

Imagine just having to change your bass strings once a year.

Do beware of geting cymbalitis, it's a costly disease.

I alway keep a wish list and a spare cash fund from my gig earnings.
That way, when i get that have to have urge" , i can usually get what i want.

I hate the feel of my Pearl dbl. pedal.I have the high end Eliminator and that lasted about 3 months.I had to get the Iron Cobra. If you haven't played any of them,I wouldn't be able to decide.Try to get to a local music store and play some pedals.Seriously.Cymbals are even more of an item I have to hit and hear in order to purchase.I bought a ZBT china online and thats the last time I'll do that.lol.Get out there man and hit stuff!!!

Yea, I know what a zbt china sounds like..poo I think teh pearl will eb fien though, I mean, it's my first peddle so I'll be happy regardless and I know I'll be able to...should be able to tweak it to about where I want. Plus, when I played an iron cobra, I didn't really care for it much, dunno, just didn't like it a whole lot. And the cymbal I know I'll like :P
