Looking for the next set

I currently have a pearl export 5 piece that I have been playing for quite some time, and has done me great justice. However, at this point in my playing I have been attracted to a more tighter sound that is associated with jazz sets.

Any suggestions on jazz set that is fit for an experienced intermediate player?

So far I have been browsing and came across two types of ludwigs. The Ludwig accent cs elite 5 piece jazz, and the Ludwig L8004LM classic maple 4 piece jazz.

you should look at Gretch catalina club jazz. its a great sounding and looking kit. and dont let that little bass drum fool you. its got a ton of power behind it. one of my buds had aquarians on his and wow did it sound like heaven.

I would second the Gretsch suggestion I've got one of the Catalina Birch Fusion sets, and it works really well for Jazz also. The Gretsch sets are very well have sound good, the Catalina Line is a high intermediate level. They make a renown series that is a step above that if you have a little more to spend.

I want to thank the both of you for your suggestions. After a bit more searching, I went for the Catilina club jazz. It is a great set, nice punchy bass too. Definitely a set I can grow with.
