im looking at this kit right now.
Buy ddrum Dominion AMX 6-Piece Shell Pack with 24" Bass Drum
I like the price.
i like the sizes.
but its ash... and i dont know anything about ash. can someone please explain to me the sound and quality of ash?
i like playing more heavier type rock. would this compliment my playing style?

As I've mentioned in various other threads, there are, frankly, serious quality control issues with Ddrums lower and mid-range kits. I would personally look at other brands.

i have a ddrum dominion pocket ash kit and its an amzing sounding kit for the price
ash i would say is quite a deep sounding wood (well thats how mine is )
as with most drums you need to change the skins as the ddrum ones are rubbish also the snare wire as that is really rubbish !!
i havent had any problems with this kit, every one remarks on how loud and nice the sound is !!!
i think there were quality problems at the begining but not any more !!
my last kit a yamaha custom always used to go out of tune after several songs
on the 10" tom !!!
ive never had that problem with this ddrum kit!!

ya best to go and look at one ya self and play it, if ya can !!

i have the ddrum duo fade maple and i love it........ i heard a few bad things but what got me to buy it is that everyone who commented on them that actuall had ddrum sets loved them...... so i disreguarded the hear say and went with the comments of the owners and im very happy with the set
