I am looking to get a new kit soon. I have the sizes and the finish and a budget, So I dropped by my local drum shop for some help they suggested the new Pearl VMX. Has anyone had the chance to play one, and what do you think about it? Also It's there any other kit that can compare with the VMX?

18"x20" Bass Drum
9"x12" Tom
14"x14" Floor Tom
14"x5.5" SDrum
I am looking for a kit in maple. for a good price without hardware. I am also looking to keep this kit as the one and only kit, and a kit that I am going to have for years.
Do you think the VMX is a good way to go or do I need to look another way?
Well, my local music shop advised me to go for a Pearl Vision too.
They also advised me a TAMA Superstar. So, I went asking on forums, and, so far, everyone I asked, say they're equal to each other. So, you could ask them about the TAMA superstar. Same price class. Then both try them, and see which you like most.
I have just bought a vision vmx kit in silver sparkle. the kit looks sweet and the tom mounts
that comes with the vmx is the th10001 mounts instead of the 900 series that come on the vbx drums.
all hardware lugs,kick spurs ect... are of nice quility and looks( heavy stuff). Over all I am very happy with the drums. I will be changing the heads in the near future.
