I've been looking to upgrade to a double bass drum kit recently and stumbled accross a Pulse 8pc. double bass kit for 500$. This looks like a good deal but I dont want to get a cruddy set. All the reveiws look O.K. but I would like some other outside input.Hope to here back

From what I know, hardware sucks nuts...well all pulse hardware does till you move up in the line...cept that one boom stand for $40 at musicians friend, highly recommended for a inexpensive stand Anyways, IMO, if you put new heads on it, it'll sound OK..but from what I know the tom mounts are a pain and teh hardware included is cheaper than anything. Personally, get a double bass peddle...save up for either a second bass drum or for a better kit Iono what kinda set you have now, but there's no reason to downgrade

Save your money to buy a better set,look into taye's there great sets,but it's more
than $500.00 bucks.But if you can you will be happy
