Hi everyone..

After playing for 2/3 years on an E-drumkit, I'm changing to acoustic.
Now, I live in Europe and I have a budget of around €1000/€1200.
So I went to a local music store (Feedback), which is a great store.

I asked them for advice on which drumkit to buy which is affordable for me. (including cymbals). They gave me advice on which kit to buy, and to what cymbals to use.

They came up with the following kits/cymbals:
- Pearl Vision VX/VSX
- TAMA Superstar

- Zildjian ZBT (14" HH/16" Crash/20" Ride)
- Sabian B8 Performance (14" HH/16" Crash/20" Ride)

So, I have 4 combinations to choose from.

What combination, according to you, should I buy?
Please, also let me know why you think of it like that.

So, I went to the music store yesterday.
I both tested the cymbals, the drums weren't ready yet.

My conclusion:
Sabian B8 Performance Hi-Hat sucks very hard.
Zildjian ZBT Hi-Hat plays very well.

Sabian B8 Performance Crash plays as well as the Zildjian ZBT's'.

The Sabian B8 Performance Ride is a bit better.

What do you guys think of my conclusion?

It seems you have begun answering your own questions here my friend. noone else on these forums will be able to tell you what to go for. You must try them out for yourself to make your own decision.

Sounds like you've already chosen your cymbals, that's good, but make sure you try the actual pack you'll be taking home because every cymbal sounds different.

Both kits your looking at come from good stock. Quality hardware, well built shells, these guys know what they're doing.
I'd suggest you do some research into the types of wood they're made from (yes this is very important) and then compare them.

Check out this site Tuning and Seating it has info on both choosing drumsets and comparing wood types. Then get to a store that has those kits and beat the snot out of them until you know what you want.

Oh and I would also recomend trying out paiste pst5's. I know from experience that these can be good value cymbals.
