mounting mapex toms to a pearl bass drum

so yeah, mapex has a completely different way of mounting toms to their bass drums. since i came across only the tom and not the entire set, i decided to not let it go to waste and add it to my current kit. however, that seems impossible because the use a slim bar that inserts into a tension clamp. or whatever you would call it.

is there a possibility i could get some kind of adapter, something that would fit on my bass drum and the tom at the same time? i may have to succumb to getting a rack, something ive been trying to put off for as long as i can, since money doesnt grow on trees.

help.

Yeah man. Take the mounting off of the mapex tom and add an ISS mount to it than just get an arm and a crmbal grabber and mount it to the cymbal stand.

Or if you have an arm for the toms current fitting, just buy a two way clamp and connect it to the nearest cymbal stand.

You could also set it on its own snare stand.

Toms sound better when they arn't on the bass, I would put one on a tom stand, and one on a cymbal stand(as a floor tom).

Mapex uses L-rod clamps. I own a set myself. You could switch it to clamps that Pearl uses i guess.
