Custom kit need help in piecing together

hey,
I'm trying to assemble myself a little custom kit but I'm having some problems figuring out how i should go about doing this..any feedback or thoughts would be greatly appreciated...

I want to make a jungle style kit with a small 16X16 or 16X18 floor tom converted to a bass drum. I know I'll need a lifter but there's the dw riser and the gilbralter rack...and then i saw that pearl had this transformation thing to put legs on a floor tom.
I would preferably want pearl drums and I don't need more than one tom. I would like a little pic snare...or a smaller sized snare...i don't care if the colors are mismatched.
and I would like the small gilbralter rack.

my main problem is, that even if i look on ebay..it's very hard to find people selling drums separately...
the main objective of this kit is uniqueness...(i'm even open to rewrapping the shells or painting them)....and compactness...little sound.
every jungle kit out there is out of my budget...i'd like to get the best quality as cheaply as possible
thanks again guys for any of your imput.

If I were you, I'd order the drums seperately from your store. You could get a "16 floor tom and a "10 rack tom in pearl forum (which sounds just as good as export) for very little bread.

Then comes the problem of the snare. you can effectively add snare components to any drum out there, but you have to find the right drum first and "12 by "4 for eg is not particularily common.

Perhaps you'll have to have another word to your storeman about what he can order in for you.

Also, if possible I would recomend avoiding a rack for this venture. I have owned gibralter racks in the past and I think you might be adding more weight to this set up than you want.
