About to buy a new set Okay, the time has come for me to replace my junky hand me down kit.
Here is what i was thinking, for under 1000 dollars
Pulse Pro kit
New Remo Pinstripe heads
Sabian B8 Rock pack Cymbals
and a Pearl p-2000c Pedal.
Evan torque Drum Key and a Pacific series 800 boom cymbal stand.
How does that sound? |

How does that sound? | Your choices look pretty good with one exception, depending on what you are using for Cymbals now, B8 Cymbals may not be much of an upgrade for you. They are one of the better entry level cymbals(and a great value for the price), but I would consider rather than the cymbal pack replacing a single cymbal out of your current set with something better and upgrading the others as more funds become available. |

This looks like the set-up i'll be getting then. |

Re: About to buy a new set If you are gonna spend a grand have you thought about craigslist? You might be able to find some pro type gear which might be older... for less. |

Re: About to buy a new set Yeah buy used, I got a 7 piece for $500, the closest price for a new 7 piece over $800, guess what, I had extra money for new used cymbals and a new used pair of DW double bass pedals. One problem, no stands (I used my old stands untill I could get new ones). | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
