I have an old 16 inch floor tom that I found in my attic and I was thinking about making a snare drum out of it. Any ideas how this would work, or where to find 16" snare strainer?

I don't drum in drum corps, or modify my drums that much but these seemed interesting to me... tell me how it turns out. I tend to celebrate how it was made to be (but I'm boring).
