Hey y'all,
Some of you might be aware that i've been chatting with the inventor of the twin steel electronic bass drum pedal, about the invention of a one unit elctronic bass drum complete with speakers, trigger and brain.
So I decided to get the ball rolling on making one myself. I'm currently sourcing car audio parts to make the amplifier and I've had a great deal of luck acquiring the module.
I found a brand new roland td-3 on ebay for $380AUS and snapped it up quick as these retail for about $700. Bargain right? 2 days later I'm surfing ebay for triggers and come across a roland td-6 (second hand) for $400!! Just to put it into context, the td-3 has 144 samples, the td-6 has over 1000!!!!
Anyway, some quick talking with the missus and now both of them are on their way. Once I've verified the td-6's quality, I'll fobb off the td-3 and try to make a bit of profit on it.
I love ebay.
