The toms are going to run: 13x10 - $164.00
and the 14x14 - $210.00
I'm in the US and Guitar Center is the one ordering it for me. I haven't heard anything negative yet..so it looks like I'm good to go. All you have to do is contact the GC you purchased from and they can order any VSX tom with this new finish. Also, there is a thread on the Pearldrummersforum devoted specifically to this set. I know, I noticed that thread.
I just wanted to know if you lived in Canada because I've heard negative things from the Canadian Pearl Plants.
Did you already own the kit when you ordered the toms?
Maybe I will get a 13x10. Just to save a few bucks.

I might go to the GC I got the kit from this Thursday.

hey inferno, nice kit i love the look of that thing, it looks beautiful man, i jhust got a pretty good sounding snare that my aunt had, it Ludwig that she got at a garage sale for like $25 or something, really good deal, and I'm gonna get new cymbals too. and a drop clutch, and basicaly replacing all my hardware.

Do you know what kind of ludwig snare it is?
What kind of cymbals are you getting?
I recommend maybe replacing the heads or the snare wires if it's old.
What kind of hardware are you getting?

get a 18x16, same height smoothness, idk just works well.

Nice kit. While i do not get into finishes that much i really dig the finish of your kit. If it sounds as good as it looks then you have an awesome kit. Just curious how much did this kit set you back?

Yeah, thats probably a better investment. Cheaper than a 18x18.

Hokie,
It was about $1,140
$600 for the shell pack,
with the hardware $990,
and the Alpha 16'' crash, $150 (with 2 year warranty plan at GC)
But I will be ordering a 18'' alpha medium crash for about $170.
along with the 18x16 tom.

So all together, about $1310 total.
