i would go with the pdp...in this price rang i fell the hardware is the main thing to watch.. i have never been a fan of hanging the toms by the tension rods.

Are you 100% sure that the PDP X7 is Maple? Because I've been reading all sorts of things lately and most of them say that PDP X7 is poplar? I also find it strange that a drumset of that size made of maple only costs 1000 euro's.
Would help me a lot if I was finally sure about what the material is.

According to DW / Pacific website, the X7 are constructed from Maple
