Best/Versatile/Standard/industry standard wooden snare drum

Hi guys, id like to know everyone's opinion on the Best/Versatile/Standard/industry standard wooden snare drum. i know its a lil to general, im going down the angle of the supraphonics/blacbeauties being the standard for metal snares. just like to know what could be the wooden equivalent

Try a Gretsch Black Steel Snare. If not here are some others:

The best sounding wooden snare I have heard recently was a Brady 14x6.5 in the Wandoo Burl finish. What a fantastic sounding snare drum, still gives me chills thinking about it.
