i think once again, it is down to just deciding what i want. i still have not found the perfect color, but o well. i can find a tama sl superstar and a mapex pro m crossover so now its just down to deciding.

Re: what should i get... The Gretsch Renown comes with a virgin kick drum. GC sells it for around $1500, it usually comes with a 8, 10, 12, and 14" floor tom. Some have snare and others don't. |

Re: what should i get... i think that musicians friend discontinued the colors they had, and replaced them with new ones. so they did discontinue them, but then started selling them again.
i will have someone call for me, that sounds like a good idea.

Re: what should i get... Butter, your a smart person.
The three kits above are all good quality. The only difference I see between them is that they are kits for different genres of music.
For my style, I would pick choice #2 and get some dark sounding cymbals.
I don't like to get into politics or religion. But we are all patriots, no matter what the opinions. |

Re: what should i get... why thank you
i agree, they will all give me different sounds that will be better for certain music. i have some interest in the gretsch renown, but i dont think it would fit as well as the others to my style. |

Re: what should i get... Watch out, Butter. That's a Gretsch man talking. Trouble is, he may have a point. |

Re: what should i get... Butter,
I kid around a lot, in case you didn't catch the humor. I just hate to admit that Taino Jim may have a good point, that's all. Smiley face posted here.
From what I've seen so far, I believe in your process, Butter. Do it your way. You'll come out in good shape.
