what should i get...

alright, after much searching and researching, i have narrowed my choice of drum kits down to only 3 different sets.
i think they are all great choices, it comes down to whether i want quality or quantity. either way i win, though.

so given the choice of these 3, what would you guys choose?
is there anything anyone has heard about these kits? has anyone played them?

here they are:
Tama Superstar SL Custom Hyper Drive 6-Piece Shell Pack and more Acoustic Drum Sets at GuitarCenter.com.
Buy Pacific Drums by DW Platinum Lacquer 5-Piece Rock Shell Pack | Shell Packs | Musician's Friend
Buy Tama Starclassic Performer Bubinga/Birch 4-Piece Shell Pack | Shell Packs | Musician's Friend

with the B/B i would have to buy a snare, but that would be fine. for quality, the PDP and the tama B/B come very close, however i get one more tom with the superstar. also, i cant find the superstar in the finish i want which is custom titanium fade.

thanks and happy drumming,
butter

Hey Butter I didn't know you were buying a new set of drums already I'm looking at the
same set that Kenny Arnoff uses it's The StarClassic 100%Maple why not look that one up he also uses a Bibinga set try looking up the first one see if you like it and try one out in GC
let me know what you decide on.

This probably won't be much help, but do you want Bubinga? I would think it would be a personal choice. Me, if I didn't buy maple, I'd die.

I've seen and tapped on two Starclassic kits. I swear to God, they look like fabulous furniture.
Wouldn't that kit have to stay home?

Good hunting.

Re: what should i get...

the B/B is my last choice. i like it, but not as much as maple, and i have to pay alot more for the maple than the birch.
i would have to get hardcases for the starclassic drums, and bodyguards for the cases

slingerland,
i havent been in the market long, ive been saving since august
ill check out the kenny arnoff kit.

thanks guys

Butter Remember one thing Get the one that you WANT even if you have to wait a little longer because when it comes down to it your the one that has to play them and live with them, so make sure you get what you want, not what you can afford at the time. As always GOOD LUCK

Buy Gretsch Drums Catalina Maple Fusion Drum Shell Pack with Free 16" Floor Tom | Shell Packs | Musician's Friend
Check out this set it's big, maple, has a snare, and it's gretsch so it'll be a pretty good quality set too.
