I have never seen these drums personally, has anyone here had any experience either personally or heard through the grapevine either negative or positive?. Im looking at a set on ebay.

I have no personal experience with Allegra Drums. Their website is allegradrums.com. According to the site, these drums are great to mike, have won a number of snare competitions, and are expensive as hell -- you buy by the drum and by the hardware piece.

The founder of Allegra Drums started out manufacturing marching snares, eventually became a consultant to and worldwide dealer for Slingerland, and has produced several brands of drums in his shop. They're made in Oregon, and they look great.
