Drumset trading????

Can i get your views on this?. Ive got a beautiful set of Premier Signias, not the marquis signias without reinforcement hoops...my shells have them. Premier will most likely never make these again so its a bit of a collectors set. My kit is emerald green and in really nice condition. 18x22-9x10-10x12-12x14 and 14x16 hanging floor toms.

OK, so...i see this set of black (covered) premier classic series all maple shell top line drums with 18x22-8x10-8x12-14x14-16x16 floor toms with legs. I like the color and i prefer the sound of covered drums versus lacquer....i know..im a weirdo. Does anyone see a problem with trading a collectable kit for a regular set of premier shells?, do any of you hold any sentimental value to drums?, am i making a mistake by considering this?. My signia kit has sat in the basement for 2 years while ive played my Sonor 3007 sparkle kit. I dont think? id regret a trade....do i need to be talked out of this consideration?. The black kit is a consignment set for 1500. Thanks for your thoughts.

Last week Musicians Friend had a huge trade off sale. I don't know if it's still going on.

So check them out.

Like Tainojim Said, Musicians Friend and Guitar Center do the "Trade in Trade up" stuff.
Putting the money you get from selling an old set to get a new one. I'm not sure if GC and MF are retailers of Premier drums, but I would certainly maybe call or send an e mail out to check. If not, you could always look at local dealers and such.
Stay healthy.

Re: Drumset trading????

Wow, I personally would be tickled to death to have a set of Signias. I am sure money is of consideration here, but if they were mine I would find a way to keep them and buy the other set.

I still have every set of drums I have ever owned, each of them with memories. I do hold a sentimental value to my kits, but in your case there is also the fact that Signias are of value to those who know what they are. If it was a set of Pearl Exports or something as common I would say go for it.

....food for thought.

Hello Reso....
Long shot but wondering if you still have this Emerald green kit and would like to sell it. I'm looking to add on to my kit.
