I'm going to need new heads soon and I love both pinstripes and emperors. Emps give my drums a much more boomy and powerful sound, pinstripes make them sound slightly warmer and focused, while still having that nice punch. They both have things I don't like about them. The pinstripes are a little quieter and seem to not last as long, while the emps go out of tune faster and somehow have a little less sustain. So I ask you fellow posters, which ones should I get next? I like both and can't decide.

I would buy heads that I don't feel compromised with.

I use the DrumDial and never went out of tune with the Pinstripes.

When the heads are loosely tuned, they will break apart especially dents and such.
