If its broke fix it....the quality of some products are made cheaply to sell cheap therefore quality suffers. it don't mean the pedal is crap! because its been designed to do a job..and if it is functional with the part fixed then save money and keep it going.most items can be bought off the shelf so find out if you can get spares direct for the product if not then look at alternatives or fix it yourself with every means. check screw thread with a gage example imperial or metric...then check the length diameter and specification of the if it plated mild steel titanium stainless...if it needs re-tapping drill out first then re-tap and jig otherwise you get the angle wrong that will cause cross threading.... its usualy the bolt that strips rather than the base plate unless the metal is softer on the base plate if its cast alloy or cast base metal so you need to check as on
Pearl boom stands.....the tighten screw strips and fall off
