Re: drum heads

What type of sound are you looking for?
And bands your sounds based off of?

Re: drum heads

Evans EC2 (coated or clear) are really good, all-around heads with a good EQ'd sound, wide tuning range, and slightly shortened sustain. Plus they're pretty durable. I find them appropriate for quite a few genres and styles of playing (I focus on heavy, alternative rock and am a pretty heavy hitter and almost always use EC2 coated heads)

Re: drum heads

More information is needed. Are you playing live, or recording? I have obtained good sound from a multitude of drum head manufacturers. Most of the stuff you may read is hype. Always keep in mind that regardless of the product, if there was truly a "best in the universe" product, all other makers would be out of business in short order.
