Andy B is on a distinguished road

Thumbs up AndyB Top Ten hardware

1. TAMA They have listened to us drummers and there hardware is light compact sturdy and user friendly. Good ranges and including the best bass drum double pedal Iron Cobra..well done TAMA..

2. Premier always a world leader in Hi-hat stands there solid and don't move around on stage and loads of adjustment...good boom selection Snaire stands and bass drum pedals.

3. DW good solid design and construction a bit over priced and looks sometimes hide practicality and application. The beater design and size on the 9000 bass pedal could be more stream lined for more speed...looks like you need shin guards when you use it...Big chunky stands are heavy and also take up too much space because of the wide bracing on the legs...its like walking down the cat walk in a fantastic dress only with the Thing out of marvel wearing it.....

4.Pearl used to be my number one for stands but too many issues with thread stripping...great snare drum stand design and Hi-Hat design good range of kick pedals i need convincing to go back...good on spares....

5.Mapex interesting concept on direct drive pedals the Falcon, good drum thrones and tom mounts, booms and snaire stands. solid design

6.Sonnor like there over designed wraps its like an oceanic thing going on with the design very 60s
Big lumps of rubber on the legs that feel off ballance..same problem as pearl there threads are crap.

7.Ludwig try too hard on getting drums rite when the stands are still in the 50s as far as i am concerned they are boreing and look cheap..get a grip or buy DW or Spaun Out

8.Yamaha sorry there stands are Boreing, with a capital B no thought has been put into the design. They may as well buy DW and get rid of the hole range of stands and just make drum kits....

9.What the hell! Gretch there is no way i'm gonna put my foot on your bass drum pedal or Hi-Hats its a potato masher...it looks dangerous. will i have a foot or feet chips...good simple range of stands....

10.Peavey ...must try Harder if you want to break into the drum market....hardware is nasty...cheap kits
