Thumbs up Double pedal speed...

So i have a DW2000 series double pedal, it was a great starter pedal has been fantastic for the last year or so. Also i find the slave pedal very sluggish and hard work now when playing fast. Now i want a better quality pedal and know that alot of people stand by the iron cobra, so in my research i have come across the speed cobra as well...

does anyone have experience with both of these pedals, i do like the longer footboard of the SC but really have not heard to much about them...IC has such a great reputation and i really want a sound investment and the IC seems like a sure bet.

Any advice would be great!

Cheers!

You can't go wrong with either.
Go to a store and stomp on a few.
Then make your decision.
I like long foot boards.

The SC is pretty new. Both are Tama, and Cobras, so you won't lose either way. They have a good rep. It's up to you. Buy the one you like best.

Re: Double pedal speed...

I agree with all that has been said here, trying them is the only way to be sure you get what is most comfortable for you.

I have owned many different double pedals and about a year ago sold my IC Power Glides to upgrade to something faster (faster for me that is, this boils down to personal preference). My choices after playing on a number of pedals came down to the Pearl Demon Drive and the DW 9002. The moral of the story here is that no matter what someone tells you is the best pedal, the only person that can say what is the best for you is you.

Re: Double pedal speed...

The best pedal by FAR in my opinion is the Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Double. That thing flies man! but unfortunatly it costs about as much as a whole drum set but still iz awesome

They are sweet matey i would sell me mum to white slavers for those beasts...or become a porn star....
They are like silk and so silent you could hear a mouse fart....it would be like a bikers rally standing next to your kit with a load of other drummers dibbling at them with gazed void expressions....

I like those pedals a lot. I hate the beaters, though.

Ever play an Axis pedal? Or a Trick?

Trick puts everything to shame, IMO. Axis comes close, and Demon Drives are tied with Axis if they have good beaters, for me, anyway.
