Re: Hi-Hat Stand

The TAMA stand gives far more adjustment from the bottom thus the spread can be narrowed giving you more floor space...i use double peddle and for rock a closed hi hat on a clamp by TAMA and use my hi hat a TAMA stand again smaller to the side of the Bass drum pedal there is no cross over at all....the cable system don't help dude its £250 and ya still have to have a floor pedal for the hi hat on a floor stand so its the same it just give more flexibility.....your still gonna have two stands crossing....

Re: Hi-Hat Stand

Andy, could you post pictures of the set-up your discribing?

S.A.L. i have two straight cymbal stands; my ride is on one now, the other is'ent in use. i also have a crappy groove percussion boom stand but somethings wrong with the hole you put the arm in so i dont trust it. then i have a tom stand with two places for toms and one place for a cymbal. The only snare stand i have is the one my snare is on but i would like to buy a seperate one so i dont have to move my snare drum just to use the stand for my practice pad at night. So my mid tom and practice pad could share that when i buy it. then the only other hardware i have is my camco single pedal and my plain hi-hat stand. So thats my current disposal.

Note that i plan on adding alot more to play with, i get my pearl eliminator double kick this sunday, then my next buy is gonna be a hi-hat stand (remote, swiveling, whatever is best), and a china, second crash, some splash cymbals, new stands, And eventually a mic system. This is alot i know, but ill take it one step at a time until im happy with my playing set-up.
