Re: No heads

I did that on me old Ludwig kit. Betta place a pilla or blanky inside da bass drum or ita sound too flat.

Can't put one in da toms when their bottomless. The darn things keep falling out.

The drums will sound louder. More boom for da bang. Or is it Baddabing Badaboom.

Re: No heads

Phil Ehart of Kansas recorded and performed all of their hits (at the time they were hitting the charts) on a drumset with no reso heads. It gives the kit a destinctive type sound.

Re: No heads

My son and I play air drums lots of times. Don't knock-em till you've tried them.

They sound great and no complaints from the neighbors either.

But my old Ludwigs sounded kick ass back in the days without the res heads.
