Unhappy Double Bass pedals

Hi. I'm selling my tama iron cobra Jr. double pedal and want to buy a new one. because of where I live, I don't have a chance to go to a shop and check them out. I was looking at the Tama speed cobra or the Mapex falcon. Anyone have any suggestions on pedals at about $400?

I would pick the mapex falcon over the iron cobra. Although the iron cobra is more durable and has a longer footboard. The mapex is light weight and powerful. It depends what your style is. I prefer DW over all the brands though.

DW does seem to be popular, I used to have and kind of still have 5000s.

sXe?

I have DW 9000's and they are really light weight and still provide the power. They are well structured. I love them they have adjustable 2 sided beaters and you can change the beater material. I recommend to get some 5000's.

I have to vote for the Speed Cobras or Iron Cobras. I've tried trick and axis and they just aren't my thing. I've had my iron Cobras for years and have no complaints other than I want to get higher tensioned springs than those that come with them. I haven't heard much of the falcons, so you're best bet is to try them both out everything about drumming is about personal feel.
