Boom Stands

I have gotten some new cymbals few weeks ago and i dont have enough stands for my cymbals So im in need of a Boom stand to place my new china on. I have $126 bucks to spend, but i will be getting a check soon.

So what do you guys use that is nice and sturdy, adjustable, and versatile?

Re: Boom Stands

DW 5000, only non hi hat stands I use besides my rack.

I have witnessed 9000 stands loosening on stage often, the boom memory lock makes it cool looking but thats it.

Re: Boom Stands

Mapex stands are solid but heavy as hell. Don't forget to check out the cymbal arm attachments you can get now so you can mount several cymbals on one sturdy stand. They are an amazing invention.

Re: Boom Stands

Before I got my my dr-80 rack (which I highly endorse btw) I had a yamaha stand that could support 2 toms and 2 crashes and was quite light-weight also. Gibralter and dixon are always good bang for your buck.
