Post Drum tuning

I'm sure most of you know of this already but it's the ultimate in drum tuning:
http://home.earthlink.net/~prof.sound/

I consider drum tuning an art to be mastered.

Thats a great web site that I think every drummer on here even some of us old saltty dogs can use and I know that some of that is very helpful to me.

Thank you very much for putting that up for us.

You're right, tuning is an art... Percussion is probaly the most complicated to tune in terms of musical instruments and at the same time it can be very rewarding if we get the sound that we are looking for. the tuning bible is probaly the best tuning resource out there. great for beginners and advnaced students alike.

I guess the one person I always wanted to meet is the guy (or girl) that used to be lars drum tech that tunes his drums for there old shows.
I have the live sh*t binge and purge box set and have owned it for years and I love the sound of his kit.

I have tried in vein to copy that sound for ever it seams like and I have come close on many ocasions but have never been sucseful

well mic'ing and recording can make the drums sound different for lars so it may be improbable for you to copy a sound in an acoustic setting... but keep trying, maybe you'll get there one day
