Re: What sticks do you use?

For me, it isn't a brand thing so much as it is a feel thing. To me, at the end of the day, all brands are made of the same thing: wood. The reason I picked the sticks I like (Pro Mark Carter Beauford "5AB") is because of how they felt. They were a little smaller than 5Bs, a little bigger and more durable than 5As.

Yepp definitely. Vic Firth is all I use. In my experience, pro mark (in general) doesn't have too much quality. It's all about preference though.

Re: What sticks do you use?

I'm a fan of Vic Firth sticks. I think that they have exceptional quality control. Besides that, I got to meet Mr Firth at a clinic years ago and he was a class act.

Just got Hornets 7A sticks. They are tough as hell and are unique. I like them.

Re: What sticks do you use?

I use Grindstix 3A's

Grindstix, I believe, runs sickdrummer.com (or vice versa)

These sticks are the best sticks I have ever used. The are well balanced, very durable, almost no shock and havn't broken in 3 months. (im still on my first pair)

Alot of hard hitting and grind drummers use and endorse them (Erik Park, Adam Jarvis, John Longstreth, Marco Pitruzzella, Duane Timlin just to name a few)

They run about 12 a pair and get mailed to you in about 4-5 buisness days...

I must say my speed and control have increased more using these sticks, than the usual Vic Firths I used to use years back...

If you looking for a hard hitting drum stick with great durability and many options.... You should check them out...
