Next generation drum heads?

What do you think drum heads will be like in the next generation? I'm not talking about electric kits that have pads and mesh heads, but I'm talking about acoustic sets that can give off a good sound. Right now, drum heads are made of certain plastics. I'm assuming this will change at some point. What do you think they might be replaced by? Crazy question I know...

I'm not really sure how much more science could advance to come up with something revolutionary for drum heads but it's definitely possible.

Preferably, it'd be something much more durable, yet still flexible to be really responsive to strokes on the head.

well the plastic drumhesd was invinted in 1956 by chick evens and they have been made out of mylar ever since. the only other thing that has been invented since then has been the kevlar heads but that is used manly in marching band.

I know the military is always invinting new kinds of plastic so you never know what there might be inthe future.
