Bass Drum heads

I have a 20" 1960's Sonor beechwood kick. Should I go with the Evans EQ3 or the Genera G2?

I like the EQ3's- Danny carrey uses em - But I'm Big on the Emad 1. The G2 would be BOOMY.

i'm an advocate of the emad 1 all the way, but if it's an eq3 you want, then do it.

Well let's not be too hastey. This is an old drum, mabey the chap wan't an old sound. If so, then perhaps go the g2 coated and pad it out a little.
