Speaking of tunning

my drums are so out of tune its almost laughable. They sound like African Conga drums !! LOL.

Is their a simple way of tunning them? I just need to tune them all, wheres some good info on this?

thanks for any info you can direct me to.

Read this page and read it well. it will solve all of life's problems. Well, regarding tuning anyway. I know it's a lot of info to get through, but it's good to know all the in and outs of your set.

A good place to start is from the beginning. Check heads are o.k, if not replace and start and learn a tuning method from scratch.
Plenty of info out there. The best instructional i have found that is easy to follow and works is www.tadrums.com

mouse for his post I hope you win a grammy award. The best post on this forum.....

yet still; people will choose their own way. the point being , there is only one way to tune a piano correctly and really one way to tune a guitar. Drummers are generally pretty uneducated and slack and make lots of excuses for errors and overall poor musicianship. I am very glad you posted this as it is just as important as any practice or drum kit selections...

A grammy to the guy who wrote this. It's more appropiate to intermediate and advanced players, but any learner should keep in mind this concept too.

Aside from that, any drummer having their drum kit tuned musically, can only inspire enjoyment of them.
This in turn will encourage to play them nicely, and they will be pleasant and musical to your, and your listeners ears, important.
