Would it sound good?
If i put evans hydraulic glass heads on the top of my toms and pearl mesh heads on the bottom how would it sound?

i think it would sound the same as if u didnt have a bottom head at all.
the mesh isnt going to add n e tonal advantage than if u just had no head on the bottom.
thats what i think.

Would it sound good? No. Or not to me anyway. As JJKaySlay said, it doesn't add any resonance to the drum. If it does anything at all, I would say that it would dampen the drum by slowing down the waves coming from the batter head.

The bottom or resonant head has alot to do with the pitch of the drum,IMO, If you like the 70's kinda open concert tom sound maybe...

Hey aslong as you tune them(i had opens my first kit). regular
pearl
heads are 1 plys thats all i know(not too much of a mesh fan, except on V drums)

That is the strangest head combination that i have ever heard. It would definitly be interesting so try it out and if you like it, go with it.
