Double Bass Pedal Problem

Ok, so I have a Ludwig double bass drum pedal, and I have a problem with the left beater loosening, I always tighten it up when this happens but after about three beats it starts getting loose again, any suggestions?

P.D.: The pedal is barely over a month old.

Re: Double Bass Pedal Problem

hey there,
haven't really used these pedals. But with the basic structure in mind, I guess you can check with the screw that you use to tighten the beater also make sure tat there is no oil content on the beater rods.

Re: Double Bass Pedal Problem

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure this one out. First off, check to see if there's any oil on the screw or rod, that could make it slip. Then, once you're finished with that, check to see if it's still loosening. If it is, put some Locktite on the screw. Super glue that's impact resistant will also work, so you could try that if you can't find Locktite. If that doesn't fix the problem, return it for your money back or get another pedal.
