Double Bass Pedal

i was looking at the DW 4000 series but it seems the only place that sells them is Hucklemusic.com and i've never heard of that, is it legit?
i also looked at the Tama double pedal that was in there standard line not iron cobra

i have a budget of around $150-$175 and would like a reliable pedal that will last and have light heads so i can play death metal

Re: Double Bass Pedal

I use the pearl p122tw. I don't play death metal/pure blast beats, but it's served me well for the stuff I play from jazz to...killswitch, job for a cowboy, tdwp etc... If you're talking about playing black dahlia typa stuff, you may wanna step up to an iron cobra, an powershifter eliminator or dw5000 or somethin Least I would cause with the speed the springs have a chance of falling off on th elower models being they just basically balance between 2 ridges, and yea, if given a lil' slack they'll slip off. It's only happened to me once over the pas 6 months or so I'v ehad my pearl, but it can happen

Re: Double Bass Pedal

If your budget is tight then do just as I did and many have done, get yourself the DW7002PT sure these aren't the DW 5000 or 9000, they aren't Pearl Elim or TAMA IC or Yamaha Flying Dragon but they considered of of the best double pedal for the money.

This pedal is smooth, is double chain and come with good adjustments possibilities and backed up with a 5 years warranty from DW.

Re: Double Bass Pedal

Is the pearl single chain? I Really recomend double

Paulse pro double pedal is better then any single chained.

Re: Double Bass Pedal

My question is, what's teh difference between 1 and 2 chains? Doesn't seem like there'd be any difference in the "quality" except a beefier look.

Actually the difference reside in the stability of the pedal board. Double chain pedal give better balanced stability it will also help the player achieve greater speed.

Re: Double Bass Pedal

how do you get faster? lol. The stability I can see...then again my peddle doesn't wobble and it's only single chain drive. Difference between strap and chain are perty big though...sorta.
