Where have you heard of this ? They surely meant the
DW 4000 because all that I have heard about the 7000 is they are one of the best pedal for its price. Last year, when I was in shopping mode for a double pedal, I had a budget limit and since I couldn't find any good deal on IC or Eliminator or
DW 5000 or FD on ebay, I began to look at the
DW 7000 and ask question about them on forums and what I gathered is that
DW have made many upgrade to this pedal over the years and they're now what was the
DW 5000 were 5 years ago so I thought that since I wasn't a professional drummer and I was a beginner with double pedal, why not get them and see if I'm good at it. Now a year after I'm still very satisfied with this pedal and I have good configuration possibilities and the pedal is backed by a 5 year warranty.
