best drum sticks ever?

Have now discovered VATER 5A's. Solid, straight, big plastic tips. My new stick.

Ive tried 4,783 sticks

(just kidding) but it seems like it. 7A-5A-808-5B signature sticks etc etc, i believe Vinnie Colaiuta has had Zildjian make my favorite sticks for me....thanks Vinnie.

The old pro-mark 747 sticks are the best, but they make them differently now (at least, I can't find any that are the same). Zildjian 5a sticks would be the best alternative.

I have tried quite a few and i think these are just right.

I agree with hollowcane, the old 747's were great. I like a drumstick that feels like it has a good deal of heft to it. I've been dying to try out Vater, I hear a lot of good things about them.
