what are the best drum sticks you've ever played with??
mine would have to be wedgie powerband sticks that I picked up at NAMM this year... they are made out of hickory wood which gives them a nice solid feel yet not too heavy/light. they also have powerbands which increase grip (yes, i drop my sticks!) and they also control vibrations through the wood.
with this pair, i felt completely in control behind the drumset. they are definately worth checking out if you're looking for new sticks
I'm going to qualify my answer: I like a light stick because I'm always playing in small rooms and trying to control volume levels. Because of this my preference is for the Fic Firth Steve Gadd signature sticks. Nice lite weight, feel good in my hands, etc.
Whatever is cheap! hahaha........ I don't like pro-marks. I like Regals, but I'd love to try Shaw sticks from England. I hear they are the tops in Europe.
i've heard a lot about shaw sticks back in england... i'll try them out sometime! So some of you recommend steve gadd signature sticks? is he the drum legend that has worked with Eric Clapton and Paul Simon? The name sounds so familiar...

okie, the drumstick..for me, i've used VATER, VIC FIRTH n TAMA. all of em is great.. but, i only used 8A. for vic firth, i wud prefer using the Dave Wekcl signature series..

For me, after years of trying differnent sticks it finally came together with the Tama hickory 8A sticks, wooden barrel tip, I lovethem.
I am not a very hard hitter (let the drums do the work), and play mainly Fusion, Rock, Latin and Jazz.
