GO G2's and you can't go wrong, try the G2's coated on your toms there change everything.
are you looking for longer sustain,G2's are the way to go.Kinda listen at your heads when you
put them on your kit,AND you will be find.

Yo, there is absolutley nothing wrong with the G1/G2 combo. I have had great success for years with this combo. I have recently swiched to G2 coated and have no complaints.

P.S. Hydraulics are for people who either can't tune their drums or have crap drums that you couldn't tune anyway.

Harsh words, but I do agree, to a point. I you chuck ec2's or Pinstripes on a good maple kit, you'll bring some big booms, for about a month and then they'll sound like carpet.

G1 and G2 gets my vote.
