yea well i need new heads badly right now im using the ec2's on the top and tama stock reso's on the bottum. i really need new drum heads so i was thinking the g2 clears on top and g1 clears on bottum. i have heard from many people its a good choice

I use EC2 on the top and G2 as reso. I don't care for the overtones I get from the G1. However I use a drumframe, thin shells, pearl mini mass lugs, and RIMS... I have quite a bit of resonance to overcome. The combination of the EC2 batter/G2 Reso is nice and thuddy.

G2/G1 combination sounds good... and a G2 is basically the EC2 without the edge control ring. That edge control ring is supposed to help you tune the drums easier.

It depends on what type of sustain you are looking for.(1) short or long. But if you go Evans
you can't go wrong.Ive got G2 coated on my taye kit at the church, there sound so great. If you
go G2's on the top G1's will be ok.
