Pearl P122 DBL PDL

I am looking at the Pearl P122 DBL PDL, it is single chain, but is that a serious drawback? Does DBL chain make that much of a difference? Right now I am using the stock pedal that came with my M Birch set, it's single chain, it seems fine to me. I'm not that experienced with a lot of different drum equipment so please enlighten me on this DBL vs Single chain preference. Thanks!

makes it more stable/doesn't rock as much. I have the p122 dbl pedal and like it. Still hate teh left pedal. Iono what it is I just can't balance it right for me. But I know a couple other drummers who have it and have liked it for the price point. It's definitely not a bad pedal to start workin dbl bass on. I'd look at dw's offerings though also.

Poor construction on a piece of Pearl equipment, really, I always heard nothing but good about Pearl equipment. Has anyone else had problems with these pedals?

that's what i thought when i bought it...but the metal wears down on the part between the axle and wear the left pedal's drive extension meet...this results in the left beater not rebounding back forcing me 2 just use my right foot...u can move parts around and tighten it more but eventually i'll either have 2 get a replacement part or a new pedal...when it does work it feels great though...but i would save up 4 something better...i've heard good things about the iron cobra and even the eliminator
